So,
how do we make sure you can get some of this fresh coffee?
Our "Roasted On" stamp All of our coffee is roasted
to order and is stamped with a "Roasted On" date.
We recommend using all your coffee within 6 weeks from this
date. This is to guarantee that you get the best tasting coffee
possible.
We roast in small custom batches Come visit
our Roasting house; you won't see much roasted coffee just
sitting around. That is because we are continuously making
sure that we are delivering the freshest coffee possible,
even if that means roasting only small batches. Freshness
is a goal we strive for.
We have small minimum orders We don't believe
in having a large minimum order, that way you don't feel pressured
into buying more coffee than you can use in a month's time.
We use special packaging Since all coffee
begins to deteriorate in flavor from the moment it is exposed
to air, we put our fresh roasted coffee in a special bag that
allows the carbon-dioxide to escape, but doesn't allow the
oxygen in.
It doesn't mean that you can't drink the coffee past the
6 week date, but that it will taste flat, and not "quite
right". To some coffee aficionados, the coffee will taste
rancid. It's akin to eating a bagel a week after it's baked-
it's not nearly as good, but it's certainly still edible.
(But there'll be some New Yorkers that will disagree with
that!)
